Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP)

Are you a candidate for EECP therapy? You may be if : you have angina and /or heart failure, your medications no longer relieve your angina, you have a history of having a stent, bypass surgery, angioplasty and your symptoms have returned.

About EECP Therapy:

Usually given in 35 one hour sessions over seven weeks. Patients recline on a contoured table with their calves, and thighs wrapped in pneumatic cuffs. The system in synchronized to the individuals cardiac cycle and it inflates and deflates the cuffs with air to correspond with the action of the heart. The system ‘s action which pulses counter to the heart’s beating increases blood flow to the heart and other organs and decreases the heart’s workload.
